Here are a selection of excerpts for your reading pleasure. You’ll notice there are many more to read, this is because, in addition to writing about my favorite Immortal Hero, Bells, I’ve branched out quite a bit with new worlds and many more heroes and heroines for you to read about.

Bells: The First Hero



Bells is my oldest existing character, and the character that most of my fans know best. He's got a pretty big following, and the readers can't seem to get enough of him.

Slim and blond, not very tall as guys go, Bells isn't your typical hero. He's been everything from a car and motorcycle racer, to a gladiatorial games combatant in the GameNet stories to a professional gunwhore in the Through Neon Eyes series, to an avenging hero in the Dragon Dance Cycle of Immortal Heroes.

Because Bells has been around so long, many artists have done their own renditions of the character. I've included some of the various book covers that have been used over the years since he first appeared.

Here are a list of stories and books featuring Bells that are available, along with information on some of the places he's been published before.

Through Neon Eyes

Warning: Gay science fiction erotica with strong BDSM and Dominance and Submission themes. (For you anime fans, it's very yaoi with a blond bishounen.)

Originally titled, Zoner, the story now serves as the first book in what has since become my Through Neon Eyes series. As mentioned Zoner was the very first erotic story I ever wrote and received a Gaylactic Spectrum Award Nomination for 2003. Originally Zoner appeared in Wired Hard 3 from Circlet Press which was a Lambda Literary Award Finalist in 2003 in the Anthology category.

Zoner was reprinted in Idols (Italian) as Il guerriero della Zona Libera from Monditori Editore, Italy. Very few copies remain for sale in Italian.



Zoner is available in ebook format as Through Neon Eyes: Zoner from Mojocastle Press and now the story has this great cover by the Red Threads Art Circle. While the book is still gay erotica, it also does double duty as yaoi, hence the great manga style cover art it sports now under the Mojocastle Press LLC imprint.

Because Zoner proved to be so popular with readers it has become a series which is available monthly from Mojocastle Press LLC. Apocalypse Dance

Rites of Romance Best Book of 2006 Award Winning novel.


More Bells, this time with a twist. Bells is with a woman in this book which is part of my Immortal Heroes series (more on Immortal Heroes a bit farther down the page). The novel is actually an erotic paranormal futuristic romance, so the violence is toned down- well it's toned down compared to the Through Neon Eyes series -but the sex is just as scorching. Because of overwhelming reader and reviewer response to the characters and world setting created in Apocalypse Dance it is now the first book in an ongoing series that I've titled the Dragon Dance Cycle. I'll briefly explain the reason for the series title. Bells is an Immortal, a man with the soul of a dragon contained within the heart of his own soul, which gives reason for the Dragon part of the title. The Dance part of the title comes, of course, from the title of the first book, Apocalypse Dance.

The existing books in the series-Gift Wrapped Dragon and Games Dragons Play delve into the lives of the two main characters, Bells and Nikki. These two stories do not stand on their own and require knowledge of the events in Apocalypse Dance in order for the reader to understand what is happening and who the characters are.

First in the follow up stories is the free to read tale, Gift Wrapped Dragon, a gift I wrote for people on my Immoral Heroes Yahoo Group. If you're on Yahoo and would like to find out more about my stories and novels join the group. We have fun chat parties with other guest authors coming and posting about their work too, and there are frequent prizes like free ebooks, book tethers and other surprises. Gift Wrapped Dragon was first story I wrote for 2007 and was posted for my readers on my Immortal Heroes chat group on New Year's Day.

You an no longer get the free erotic romance PDF ebook of Gift Wrapped Dragon and that version will not be made available again. A revised version of the story will be coming out through Shadowfire Press for a small price sometime next year.

Next in the series is the erotic novella, Games Dragons Play. You can read an erotic excerpt of this story by clicking here but again you've got to be 18 or of legal age in the country where you live to read erotic excerpts.

Additional titles in the Dragon Dance Cycle are planned. These will explore the lives and relationships of some of the secondary characters with books planned for both Dal- Tiger Dance- and Hawk -Hawk's Dance- the secondary heroes of the novel. I've also had some readers suggested that Luke, the gay man from Danbridge, should get his own book, and while I haven't definitely planned that book, I also haven't ruled out writing it.

Another story, Plague Dance has been written. It's a side story in the series. After a mutated strain of Ebola ended the world as we know it, Staff Sergeant Deshawn Roberts finds himself alone and longing for companionship.

Cory Wilson, a survivor of the plague that almost wiped out the human race. Cory is a one time office worker, finds himself a captive of Roderick, King of the Lone Star Empire. It's a life of slavery worse than death, and Cory escapes to find himself on the run.

Brought together by chance, can these two men survive in the harsh reality of post Collapse America, and will they find the love they both crave? This book will also be coming out through Shadowfire Press fairly soon. You can read an excerpt of it here.


GameNet


Bells is featured in another series, GameNet, which details how he became a man with the soul of a Dragon. The GameNet stories are where Bells had his origin. Originally a setting made up for an RPG supplement I was trying to write, I shelved it in favor of studying during my college days. Neither the game supplement or college worked out for me. Isn't it funny how those things happen? If I had graduated I'd probably be working as a journalist or teaching somewhere.

The first book in the GameNet series, Into the Jaws of the Dragon, is also available through Mojocastle Press LLC.

A Note on how Bells can be in so many different series:
Other than the obvious reason that I make up the rules.

Bells is not your average Immortal Hero. Unlike the other heroes and heroines in the Immortal Heroes books, Bells is the plaything of a Dread Goddess who flings him through time to suit her own mysterious whims. More than that will not be revealed here since it would be a big spoiler for the readers who are following Bells through the twisted mess of his many lives.

Yes, the how and the why will be revealed in the various series, but as with any good mystery, all the clues aren't in one place, they are spread through the different series of books.


As mentioned Apocalypse Dance and the Dragon Dance Cycle which it began are actually part of Immortal Heroes which is a broad group of novels that encompasses several different series which span multiple genres. Below you'll find information on a few of the series that have already been started.

Immortal Heroes


Stories about other heroes and heroines who are Immortal. The heroes and heroines are all different, and are all Immortal for different reasons. Some like Bells have the soul of an Immortal Beast--Dragons, Unicorns, Grypons, Kirin and other legendary creatures--at the heart of their own souls while others are Immortal for varying other reasons.

Dark Tango


The Dark Tango Cycle is slated to be two books about the main characters, Snow, a man cursed to Immortality for murdering his master, a Demon Prince, the woman he loves, Jaella, and her kinsman Rayne. This is a menage series with very graphic male with female, male with male, and three way sexual content.

Ragnarok Tango, the first book in the series is already out through Phaze. The publisher also rated this book a 5 on a scale of 1-5, and it's a blend of fantasy and horror with very graphic erotic content. You can read an mild excerpt here. Gryphon Guardians


This series began as a stand alone novella titled All Hellos that was written for a Halloween anthology from a now defunct publisher. I revised it slightly and sent it to Mojocastle who released it in October of 2006 as a Mojocastle Trick.



This novella features two Immortal Heroes of mine, Gabriel and Adrian, and a lady named Iris who finds herself out of her depth in ways more than just sexual. Of course being a novella originally released for Halloween it's a paranormal erotic romance.

Iris is what is referred to in romance as a Big Beautiful Woman- think actresses from the 1940s and 1950s if you aren't familiar with the term, though to be honest I envisioned Jennifer Tilly the way she looked in the movie Bound (Great movie by the way!)- and the story is a menage with Iris, Gabriel and his long time lover Adrian so there are strong homoerotic themes in the mix.

I suppose at some point I'll have to go back and write the story of how Gabriel and Adrian met and became lovers. I don't write a lot of vampires as part of Immortal Heroes, so Adrian got a lot of reader interest. Readers have asked for that story and more with the three of them together after the events of All Hellos and at some time in the future a sequel or two are planned. Here's an excerpt of All Hellos.

There are plans for more books in the Immortal Heroes series among them Armageddon Waltz (Science Fiction-Immortal Hero: Haze), Holocaust Reel (AU WWII Historical-Immortal Hero: TBA), Fandango of Darkness (another one with Bells battling vampires to protect a woman and her son) and other titles to be announced.

With all my current contractual obligations starting more of the Immortal Heroes books has to wait for a while, unfortunately.

Speaking of other series, here are some more of them that are already being written.


Mercykill: Not Your typical Rock Band




Another of my gay romance or yaoi series, this one is slated to run for six or more books. Mercykill is about a Japanese heavy metal band (aka visual kei in Japan) whose members wind up in a situation they never would have considered possible. Without giving any spoilers for book two, which isn't out yet, I can say this about the first book, Shattered Melody



Mercykill is on their way to fame as the newest visual kei band to hit the big time in Japan. But from the heights of fame to the depths of crushing sorrow takes but an instant. Can the band recover from senseless tragedy and salvage their lives from the ashes of despair?

Shattered Melody the first book in the series is a suspense novel with paranormal twists and very explicit m/m and m/m/m sexual content. The excerpt here is rated PG.

I'm sure some of you are wondering why Mercykill is listed here with the Immortal Heroes books. I'm not saying why it's here, you'll find out in future installments of the series. Mercykill is also part of the Perseverance Agents series which spans time from the present time to the far future on other worlds.


World of Dragonhope


This series is going to be huge. Auburnimp and I have already completed three books, two in the Dragon and Fenyx series with Stormdragon and Flamespirit and one book that's part of the Swordbrothers series we've titled Outlaw and the Brat. We're very excited about this worldsetting and we can't wait until we can get them out. The first book of the Dragon and Fenyx series, Called by Power came out from Dark Eden on March 1st, but they had to close their doors. Since we don't want to wait months for these books to come out through another publisher we've decided to open our own publishing company, Shadowfire Press. This series will run the gamut of possible relationships to include m/m, m/m/f menage, and we're planning at least one book about a pair of women who are Swordsisters. That book will have the first f/f (yuri to you anime buffs) content which is something neither Auburnimp or I have tried to write before. We think it will be a fun change of pace and we're looking forward to writing that book soon.

Part of this series also falls within the scope of the Immortal Heroes heading which is why it's here.


Samurai, Elves, Vampires and others!

Legend of the Autumn Wind




Legend of the Autumn Wind is about a young samurai, his kid sister and the love of his life; an older samurai with a dark secret. Fantasy Japan: multi-book series. This first book is available Mojocastle Press LLC.

Right now I'm not sure when the second book will come out but it shouldn't be too much longer. The book is written, I just have to get it revised and off to the publisher.

I really enjoy writing this series because it's set in the Edo period. Well it's actually an Alternate Universe version of samurai era Japan where magic and demons are very real. I get to write over the top sword fights in the style of anime or manga - and lots of martial arts films - with people flying around in the air. And, even better, I'll get to write some really hot samurai on samurai sex.

Sakura Blades


Sakura Blades is a cowritten series with Auburnimp, my wonderfully talented fanfic partner. Another series set during the early Edo period of Japan, this one lacks the magical angle of my Legend of the Autum Wind series and is actually more strongly based in historical fact - though it does deviate on several points - than that series. We sold it to Mojocastle before the first book was completed on the strength of the first chapter of Desinty's Road which is the first book in the series. This too is a m/m or yaoi series and will follow many of the typical conventions of anime. You can read an excerpt of the first chapter of Book 1, Desinty's Road, here. This is more of an R rated excerpt because of subject matter. No sexual situaions though.


Supernatural Alliance


This is aother series that was sold to Dark Eden but will be coming out through my Shadowfire Press, a company that Auburnimp and yours truly have just started. Our books will begin coming out this summer. Supernatural Alliance began with FE959 which was first story I ever wrote in my Supernatural Alliance series. The setting was made up on the fly, and just turned out so interesting I decided to keep writing in it. (Queen of Carnage which came out through Loose-id is technically, another part of the Supernatural Alliance series.) Click here for an excerpt of FE959. Previously released by MidnightShowcase is Three Shakes of a Wolf's Tale is a story that fits into my Perseverance Agents series. This one is set in the near future in Hong Kong. (Keep your eyes peeled for a cameo by a character from another Perseverance Agent series. Hint: The character in one of the few Maryanne talks to in the club.) The second, unrelated, Perseverance Agents story is out through Under the Moon. The anthology it's in, Forbidden Love: Sacred Bands is an all m/m anthology. One final word on all of my books:

If you read my books and stories long enough you will discover subtle clues about how every one of them is, in some way, interconnected. Watch for major characters from one series making cameos in others, almost never by name. Keep watch on the names of companies and other details like criminal organizations and secondary characters. They serve as clues to the way every one of my world settings is interconnect at some level.

I've posted a couple of my Weiss Kreuz slash/yaoi fanfiction stories of mine. the first one is titled, No Happy Ending and it's more angsty than yaoi.
